This funky restaurant has a modern, artsy atmosphere. They make their own fresh pasta on the premises.

Chien Qui Fume: 72 Rue de la Paroisse, Marché Notre-Dame, ☎ 01 39 53 14 56. Authentic bistro (€€). Open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner.

“The Smoking Dog” is a picturesque little bistro serving up smoked meats and surf-&-turf meals in a laid-back dining room. Closed August.
