Arriva Trains Merseyside was a train operating company operating passenger trains in Merseyside (UK). The previous franchise holder was Merseyrail Electrics. Arriva bought the parent company MTL following bankruptcy in 1999, upon which the franchise was renamed Arriva Trains Merseyside. The franchise was taken over by Merseyrail in 2003.
