Biography

Arrival was a seven-member group from Liverpool formed in the late '60s. Members were Dyan Birch, Paddy McHugh, Frank Collins, Carroll Carter (vocals), Lloyd Courtney, Don Hume, and Tony O'Malley. They had two U.K. hits in 1970: "Friends" (number eight) and "I Will Survive" (number 16). Birch, Collins, McHugh and O'Malley later formed Kokomo. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide

Arrival were a pop-rock band from Liverpool featuring close-harmony vocals. Following their appearances on Maynard Ferguson's 1970 UK television special and their two chart hits, "Friends" and "I Will Survive", they were booked to appear at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970.

All left for other projects, most successfully Kokomo, The Olympic Runners and Gonzalez.
