When it comes to healing patients, Arrow International makes its point. The company makes vascular access and cardiac assist products used in a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Its critical care segment makes disposable catheters used to administer dialysis treatments, monitor arterial blood pressure, and deliver drugs and fluids. Many of its catheters are treated with its ARROWg+ard antiseptic coating to reduce infection risk. Arrow also makes cardiac care products, including balloon pumps and catheters that help the heart to pump properly following surgery, heart attack, or angioplasty. The firm was acquired in 2007 by diversified manufacturer Teleflex for about $2 billion.
