Biography

With a clear, pure, tone, Arthur Cormack was one of the most promising Gaelic-language vocalists of the 1980s. His debut album, Nuair Bha Mi Og (When I Was Young), received a National Mod Gold award in 1983. Although he followed with Ruith Na Gaoith: Old & New Songs Of The Scottish Gael, in 1989, and toured as a member of Macmeanmna in the award-winning production, Skye-The Island, Cormack has devoted most of his attention to EISD, the music shop he opened in the mid-1980s. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
