Arunasalam Thangathurai also spelt Arunachalam Thangathurai (Tamil: அருணாசலம் தங்கத்துரை, was a Sri Lankan Tamil politician. He was Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) Member of Parliament for Trincomalee District. He was assassinated by LTTE on July 5, 1997[1][2] in the presence of hundreds of school children. He was 61 years old.
