Arvika (är'vē'kä), city (1990 est. pop. 14,000), Värmland co., W Sweden, on Lake Glafsfjorden. It is a commercial and industrial center, with a lake port. Arvika was mentioned in a 13th-century Norse saga.

Arvika Municipality (Arvika kommun) is a municipality in Värmland County in west central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Arvika.

The present municipality was created in 1971 when the former City of Arvika was amalgamated with five rural municipalities.

Arvika is most known for the annual Arvika Festival that attracts international artists.
