A genus of nematode in the family Heterakidae. Includes A. columbae, A. dissimilis, A. compar, A. numidae and A. razia.
- A. galli — a parasite of domesticated and wild birds which causes enteritis with diarrhea, and unthriftiness with poor feed conversion especially in birds up to 3 months of age.
