Aschenbrödel (Cinderella), one of the Kinder- und Hausmärchen (1812-23) of the brothers Grimm. The story has since been treated by Platen, in Der gläserne Pantoffel, Eine heroische Komödie (1826) written in a mixture of prose and verse; by Grabbe, in Aschenbrödel, Dramatisches Märchen (1830); and by Benedix, in Aschenbrödel (1868).
