Through subsidiaries in Taiwan, Malaysia, and the US, the company provides integrated circuit (IC) assembly, testing, and packaging services for customers that have included Atmel, LSI, NVIDIA, and VIA Technologies. ASE Test tests logic, mixed-signal, and memory ICs; performs wafer probing; and packages ICs for end users in the communications, automotive, and consumer electronics industries, among others. The company has long-standing alliances with semiconductor foundry giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and with big chip packager Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), which owns ASE Test.
