Ashok Nagar (Hindi: अशोक नगर, Punjabi: ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਨਗਰ, Urdu: اشوک نگر) is a place near Tilak Nagar in New Delhi. It was known as Tihar 2 before being renamed as Ashok Nagar. Ashok Nagar is a part of Tilak Nagar assembly constituency and West Delhi parliamentary constituency. It used to be a part of Tihar Village like Subhash Nagar (Tihar 1) but it's known as Ashok Nagar now. It is authorized and being developed by the Delhi Government.

Ashok Nagar is basically a refugee colony with the people those who migrated from bahawalpur,West Punjab, Sindh and Northwest Frontier Province but now people from Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, West Bengal, East Punjab and South India are also living in this place.
Ajay Enclave, Ajay Enclave Extension, Asha Park, Meenakshi Garden, Manak Vihar, Tihar Village, West Tihar, Manak Vihar Extension, Jail Road, Gopal Nagar, Fateh Nagar, Hari Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Beri Wala Bagh, Sham Nagar, Chand Nagar, Mukherjee Park and Mukhram Park are the neighboring areas of Ashok Nagar.
This township is divided in four parts namely Main Blocks, MCD Colony, Double Stories and Uggarsen Market Area. The colony was divided in a well planned manner into seventy blocks 1-70, each having around 16 houses with a lane on all the four sides.As the 71st block was across the jail road, it was renamed as Prem Nagar. Also, this area has five main gardens viz. Ajanta Park, Ashok Nagar Park, More wala park, 41 block Park and Tikona Park.
This area is surrounded by two big gardens namely Jheelwala Park And Dhan Pathwar on the south side and the Tagore Park on the North east side. Jheelwala Park is famous for boating run by DDA.
Ashok Nagar is nearby two metro stations: Tilak Nagar Metro Station and the misnamed Subhash Nagar Metro Station (which is situated in Ashok Nagar near Meenakshi Garden and East Tilak Nagar).
Mukand Lal Katyal Senior Secondary School, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Dera Santpura School, Master Tara Chand School, Sri Sanatan Dharma Lajwanti Model School, Gulmohar Public School (up to 5th standard) and New Delhi Public school are some big schools in this area.
The area has Jail road leading to Tihar Jail and Metro Station Tilak Nagar on its west; Tilak Nagar Police Station and Subhash nagar Metro both of which paradoxically are in Ashok Nagar premises on its north, Hari nagar on its south and Subhash Nagar colony and Rajouri Garden on its east side.
The main attractions of this colony is it’s holiness towards the god apparent from the many temples and Gurudwaras along with being a mixed culture colony it is quite peaceful. It has Sanatan Dharma Mandir, Gurudwara Singh Sabha (Yadgar Mata Gujri Ji), Gurudwara Dera Santpura, Gurudwara Baba Joravar Singh, Gurudwara Baba Fateh Singh (Formerly known as Gurudwara Chhotey Sahibjaadey), Mahanubhav Panth’s Jai Sri Krishna Mandir or Gopal Mandir, Arya Samaj Mandir, Bahawalpur Mandir and Sindhi Mandir and Arya Samaj Mandir are the main attractions of the area. Mukund Lal Katyal Marg, Vedik Marg (Tihar Road), Tota Ram Ahuja Marg, Jail Road and Najafgarh Road are the main roads of Ashok Nagar.
Pacific mall near Subhash Nagar metro station was inaugurated recently. Ajanta Mall & Multiplexes is under construction on the same site where the famous old Ajanta Movie Theater is situated in Ajay Enclave Extension (Ashok Nagar).
Central Govt. Employees Residents' welfare Association, Ashok Nagar (Member, Bhagaridari movement, Govt. of Delhi since its beginning) is the only recognized and registered body looking after the welfare of the area and its people.
