Askola (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈaskola]) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the Uusimaa region. The municipality has a population of 4,919 (31 January 2012)[2] and covers an area of 218.03 square kilometres (84.18 sq mi) of which 5.61 km2 (2.17 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 23.16 inhabitants per square kilometre (60.0 /sq mi).
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
