Aspen Pure's founder and president, Barry Gordon, founded the company in 2003 and has since won over some key investors, including Dan Carney, co-founder of Pizza Hut. Aspen Pure bottles water from an aquifer in the San Luis Valley located in southern Colorado. The aquifer is fed from the underground runoff of rain and melting snow from the mountains. Aspen Pure is available in California, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
