Astley Village is a civil parish in the Borough of Chorley in Lancashire, England, covering a suburb of Chorley. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 3,329.
History
It was a purpose built village, constructed in the 1970s.
Community
Astley Village has become well known due to the village's park hosting the prestigious "Lancashire Fair" for a number of years. The village, is roughly a mile away from the nearest Tesco, Chorley town town centre and the M61. It is serviced by a regular bus route, The Chorley circular, every 10 minutes. The village street, Long Croft Meadow, backs onto Chorley hospital.
