Review
Recorded one year after his "comeback" began, pianist Earl Hines is featured on this live session with his quartet which at the time featured bassist Gene Ramey, drummer Eddie Locke and on five of the nine selections, the tenor and soprano of Budd Johnson. The tunes are superior and these versions of "Cavernism," "Rosetta" and "Tea for Two" are highpoints. Most of Hines's post-1964 output is quite enjoyable and this LP is no exception. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music GuideTracks
