Atemlos (German for Breathless) is the sixth studio album of German Electronica and Global Pop artist Christopher Von Deylen under his principle project "Schiller". The album was released on March 12, 2010. The album contains 30 new compositions from Schiller including two electronic symphonies in 5.1 surround sound.[1]
Like his earlier albums, Atemlos features collaboration of Christopher Von Deylen with other international artists. Anna Maria Mühe, Jaki Liebezeit, Odette Di Maio, Midge Ure, Kate Havnevik, Anggun, Lenka, Mia Bergström and Henree will be featuring on the album. The album also features continuation of Schiller's partnership with Kim Sanders. The first single "Try" featuring Nadia Ali was released three weeks before the official album launch date.[1]
The album is inspired by Christopher Von Deylen's month long voyage with the scientific research vessel Polarstern.[2] To support the album a tour of the same name was made between 14th and 30 May.The live concerts were spread in fourteen cities of the German Federal Republic starting with Trier and then Bielefeld, Düsseldorff, Offenbach, Ludwigsburg, Leipzig, Chemnitz, Dresden, Hamburg, Bremen, Hannover, München, Bamberg and Berlin. The shows were for more than two hours performing many instrumental songs and the vocals from Kim Sanders,Anggun and Kate Havnevik in all venues and Midge Ure and Mia Bergström in a couple of them and finally the participation of Nadia Ali,four times,in between. The supporting band were the drummers Ralf Gustke and Cliff Hewitt and guitarists Andreas Binder and Tissy Thiers, and keyboardists Christian Kretschmar and Christopher von Deylen himself.
