Atlantic FM, is a radio station based in and serving Cornwall, United Kingdom. The station, owned by Atlantic Broadcasting Ltd, began broadcasting on July 6, 2006 at 0730 BST, and is broadcast from St Agnes. The station, aimed at 25 to 54 year olds, mainly plays Adult Contemporary music, and features national and local news and information, including surf reports for Cornish towns and locations such as Newquay and Polzeath on the North Cornwall coast, and Whitsand Bay on the South Cornwall coast.
The station can be found on 105.1 and 107.0 FM, and there is also a live stream on Atlantic's website.
The Tindle Radio Group own a 47% share of Atlantic FM. The remainder is owned by "Camel Media", a partnership of local investors, together with the station's Chairman Richard Eyre.
All programmes are produced locally at the station's studios overlooking the Atlantic ocean at St Agnes on the North Cornish coast. Great attention was taken when building the studio facilities - open plan offices with large open spaces and use of stainless steel gives an industrial feel.
Atlantic FM is primarily a music station and plays a credible mix of music from the 60s to today's latest releases. Speech comprises topical and entertainment features, interviews, and information from across Cornwall. The Atlantic FM News team produces live local news bulletins throughout daytime output seven days a week.
