A truly painful experience -- or maybe the best irony-filled night of entertainment imaginable? The '80s are in the sights and Atlantic is bringing the cream of a desert built with only the most cloying radio fare of the decade. The label had jumped from soul (Aretha Franklin) to arena rock forebears ( Led Zeppelin) to this: crossover rock. Yes, you not only get highlights from hit machines like Foreigner, Phil Collins, and INXS, but some mind-boggling bad sides from pop ephemera Nu Shooz, Laura Branigan, and John Parr (that's right, "St. Elmo's Fire").
