Atlantic Tele-Network (ATN) makes connections from the maple groves of Vermont to the rain forests of Guyana. In the US, where it does more than 90% of its business, the company provides wholesale wireless voice and data roaming services to local and national communications carriers through subsidiary Commnet Wireless. ATN provides retail mobile service under the Alltel brand in rural markets of the Southwest and Midwest, and it provides voice and broadband Internet services in New England, particularly Vermont, through its SoVerNet subsidiary. SoVerNet subsidiary ION offers fiber-optic transport services in New York State on a wholesale basis.
