Atom Entertainment is owned by Viacom's MTV Networks; Atom.com operates as the exclusive partner and anchor brand for digital content from MTV's Comedy Central.

Atom Entertainment is an Internet entertainment company which operates Atom Films, Shockwave.com, AddictingGames.com, and AtomUploads.com, formerly known as AddictingClips.com.

The company was formed in 2001 by the merger of Atom Corporation and Shockwave.com, Inc. Viacom acquired Atom Entertainment in August 2006 for about $200M.^[1]
