Plot

When the leader of a fallen strike team sets out to uncover the source of the attack that decimated his crew, he soon finds himself facing off against a psychotic drug dealer who appears to have been covertly funded by a renegade arm of the United States military in this guns and glory bullet ballet starring action icon Steven Seagal. Marshall Lawson (Seagal)'s team has been viciously cut down in a seemingly-random attack, and now Marshall is looking for answers. The deeper he delves into the case, however, the more suspicious circumstances become. After discovering evidence of a covert operation named "CTX Majestic," Marshall's own military comes gunning for him. Never one to back down from a fight, Marshall soon becomes locked in a life-or-death battle with a trigger happy drug runner whose impressive array of weaponry points to a much larger conspiracy. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Plot

Marshall Lawson (Steven Seagal) is the commander of an elite military unit. In Paris, France, Marshall loses all three of his men in a seemingly random attack, and he takes it upon himself to investigate the attack, with the help of his girlfriend Tia (Lisa Lovbrand) and his friend Dwayne (David Kennedy).

Marshall uncovers CTX, a covert military drug so secret that an arm of the military headed by a man named Werner (Danny Webb) wants Marshall eliminated. And Tia was one of the two military scientists who developed CTX.

As it turns out, Reina (Evelyne Armela O'Bami), the hooker who killed Marshall's team, was under the influence of CTX, which turns whoever is under its influence into a seemingly unstoppable killer.

A Paris night club owner named Aroon (Adam Croasdell) was the other military scientist who helped develop CTX, and now, Aroon has plans to release the CTX into the water supply in Paris, which would turn the city's residents into ultra-violent killers.

Marshall, Tia, and Dwayne must stop Aroon and Werner before that happens.

Reception

The movie was not well received, even among Seagal's die-hard fans. For large portions of the movie, Seagal was dubbed over by a voice over artist. So at certain times during the movie he speaks with his own voice, but then at other times with a dubbed voice which can be detected very easily as being dubbed. The reasoning for the dubbing of Seagal and other actors in the film was that changes were made in the storyline after most of the film was already shot.
