1. A descendant of Jerahmeel of Judah; the son of Jahra, an Egyptian slave belonging to Sheshan and one of Sheshan's daughters (perhaps Ahlai). He was the father of Nathan (I Chr 2:25, 34-35).

2. One of the "mighty men of valor" among the Gadites who crossed the Jordan to join David's troops at Ziklag (I Chr 12:8, 11-15).

3. One of King Rehoboam's sons by his wife Maacah, the granddaughter of Absalom, whom he loved more than all his other wives (II Chr. 11:18-21).
