The investment professionals are: David Hornik, John Johnston, David Marquardt, Vivek Mehra, and Andrew S. Rappaport. Investments made by these partners before the founding of August Capital include: Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Adaptec, and Grand Junction Networks (acquired by Cisco).

Entrepreneurs supported by August Capital include: Michael Baum (Splunk), Kerry Champion (Westbridge), René Lacerte (PayCycle), and Jeff Smith (Tumbleweed).
