Langbein, August Friedrich (Radeberg nr. Dresden, 1757-1835, Berlin), lived in Dresden and, after 1800, in Berlin. A purveyor of light literature in short story and anecdotal form (Schwänke, 1792; Feierabende, 1793), he also wrote poems, plays, and several novels.
