Australasian Schools Computer Competition

The Australasian Schools Computer Competition is an information technology-based competition open to school students in years 3-10 (formerly 5-12) in Australia and New Zealand. It is run by the University of New South Wales Educational Testing Centre.

Layout

The test is primarily made up of multiple choice questions. Though for senior students there are 10 questions which are more open ended, though still constrained by the number of characters allowed.

Name Change

Beginning with the 2006 competition the Australasian Schools Competitions (of which the Australasian Schools Computer Competition is a part) will be renamed to International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS).
