Auto Europe is one of the largest car rental wholesale companies in the world, working with approximately 7,000 car rental locations in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, as well as North and South America.
Auto Europe was founded in 1954 by Alex Cecil as a car rental consolidator to assist American clients with renting vehicles in Europe. Today, their main headquarters are based in Portland, Maine with other offices located in London, Munich, and Sydney, Australia. In addition to traditional self driven rental cars, Auto Europe offers specialty vehicles, Peugeot long-term leasing services, as well as chauffeur and transfer services.
In 1995, Auto Europe began offering airfare and hotels under the name Destination Europe. In 2010, they rebranded this division as Fly International[2] to better serve their worldwide destinations.
Travel Services
International Car Rentals are the main service offered by Auto Europe.
Multimedia Travel Information has been offered by Auto Europe since 2007[3] on their YouTube page, giving travelers detailed explanations of car models that are often unfamiliar to first time visitors to Europe. Car rental locations around the world that are serviced by Auto Europe are also described via online video.
