Review

The group's debut 12-inch for Kirk De DiGiorgio's noted Op-Art label (and their first without the involvement of Mark Van Hoen, who left in '96 to pursue his solo work with R&S and Touch) is an appropriately abstract affair, with crisp, thunderous breaks set against a sparse backdrop of looping guitar samples and minimal electronics. While all of the tracks suggest a circuitous engagement with drum'n'bass, the flip side's "Youngster" goes full-throttle into splintering breaks and bouncing bass. A nice, somewhat cerebral collection. ~ Sean Cooper, Rovi
