Bangladesh currently manufactures Auto rickshaw and locally designed three-wheeler motor vehicle Mishuk with engine from Honda. Country has few large car plants which assemble Mitsubishi Pajero, Hino bus, Tata bus and motor cycles. [1]

In 2009, Malaysian Agate group proposed to build a car manufacturing plant in Bangladesh with cooperation with Walton which itself are on preparation to produce motorcycle.[2] On same year 2009, TagAZ, a Russian- South Korean car manufacturing company announced that they are going to build their 3rd factory in Bangladesh aiming to export. Tha plant will be completed by 2012.[3][4] In February, 2010, Japanese car giant Mitsubishi officially proposed Bangladesh government to manufacture Sedan and Pajero with collaboration with Pragoti Industries aiming to go on production in 2011.[5][6]
