Avegno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region of Liguria, located about 20 km east of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,230 and an area of 11.0 km².[1]
The municipality of Avegno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) of Avegno Chiesa, Molino Nuovo, Salto, Testana, and Vexina.
Avegno borders the following municipalities: Rapallo, Recco, Sori, Tribogna, and Uscio.
