Plot

The "batman" referred to in the title was not of the Caped Crusader variety, but instead the former valet to John Steed. When the man in question, who after WWII worked as a humble printer's assistant, leaves behind an estate worth over half a million pounds, Steed investigates. It turns out that the dead man was linked with an unscupulous banker (Andre Morell) who will stop at nothing to corner Britain's high-tech industry.
