Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland boasts itself as one of the largest pharmaceutical businesses in the country. A subsidiary of French giant Sanofi, the company manufactures and markets prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Along with its Lantus and Insuman insulin products, Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland produces Plavix and Lovenox. The company also dedicates much of its efforts on research and development at its Frankfurt, Germany headquarters and is focused on metabolic illnesses such as diabetes, as well as cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
