Avirex is a brand of clothing founded by Jeff Clyman in 1975 to keep the production of traditional WW2 style pilot jackets issued to the-then USAAF as well as other aviation related garments. In 2006 Avirex brand was sold in three world regions, USA, Europe and Japan. A new owner of Avirex brand in the USA is Mark Ecko Enterprises.
In 2006 all Avirex branded military and classic apparel was discontinued and transferred to a new Clymans company, Cockpit USA.
