Awa (阿波市 Awa-shi) is a city located in Awa District, Tokushima Prefecture, Japan.
Awa City was founded on April 1, 2005, when the old town of Awa absorbed the town of Ichiba, also from Awa District, and the towns of Donari and Yoshino, all from Itano District. It is located in the former Awa Province (Tokushima).
As of 2005, the town has an estimated population of 43,145 and a density of 226 persons per km². The total area is 190.97 km².
