The girl's name Ayesha is of different originalities, In Persian its meaning is "womanly". It also means sporty, active. 'Ayesha' also means beautiful, or life in Arabic. 'Ayesha' is also sometimes spelled 'Aisha', which is a different name altogether, meaning "she who lives" in Arabic. In Bosnian it is spelled Aiša. Ayesha is a common female first name, in countries such as the United States, where it was ranked 2020 out of 4275 for females of all ages in the 1990 US Census. The same survey found that Ayesha is a rare surname and it was not ranked for people of all ages.
