Stratojet
A jet bomber developed for the Air Force by Boeing in the late 1940s that was the mainstay of the medium-bombing strength of the Strategic Air Command all throughout the 1950s. It carried a crew of only three but was difficult to land. Improvements in training eventually enhanced its safety record. It was completely phased out by the mid-1960s.
