Biography

Compared to the sloppier antics of Prolapse and Sonic Youth, the Manchester, England, trio b-fab.u.k. comprises Tomas Sudall, Vicky Vincent, and Catriona Ross. The trio had a trio of bizarrely packaged 3" EP releases out by the end of 2001 on Super Volcano, including Rock Made Week, Retrograde Noumena, and Exotics. These three lo-fi releases formed what was referred to by the band as a "meta-rock trilogy." The previous year, the band took part in an event called Glam Slam, a festival of sorts that involved a number of participating Manchester bands performing covers of their favorite glam-era songs. b-fab.u.k. happily deconstructed the Sweet's "Blockbuster." ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
