Biography

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Nick Rudd got his start in the early 1980s with the B-Lovers, a Champaign, Illinois indie pop group that took its name from the humanistic psychological term for selfless love. Rudd later re-recorded the band's song "Barricade" with the Arms of Someone New. The B-Lovers released one record: the seven-inch Everything is Falling. While on their way to the studio one day, they decided to change their name to Turning Curious. Rudd went onto play in such power-pop outfits as Big Maybe and Blown, with Turning Curious' Steve Scariano, who himself went onto play with Prisonshake. Drummer Jeff Evans joined Rudd in Blown and went onto play with Signalmen. ~ Ron DePasquale, All Music Guide
