B. W. Huebsch was an American publisher settled in New York in the early 20th century. He was the first publisher in the United States of James Joyce[1] and D. H. Lawrence.[2] He also published, in 1919, the first edition of Sherwood Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio (novel).[3] In 1925 he merged his firm with Viking Press, where he worked as an editor.[4]
