Bible Guide: Baana

1. Baana son of Ahilud; he was one of the 12 governors appointed by Solomon (I Kgs 4:7). His was the fifth district: Taanah, Megiddo and Beth Shean (I Kgs 4:12).

2. Baana son of Hushai, likewise one of Solomon's 12 governors (I Kgs 4:7). His was the ninth district: Asher and Aloth (I Kgs 4:16).

3. Baana father of Zadok (Neh 3:4); Zadok was among those who rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem at the time of Nehemiah (Neh 2:17). This Baana may be identical with Baanah No. 4.
