Bachtyar Ali Muhammed (Kurdish: Bextyar Elî - بەختیار عەلی) Born in the year 1960 in Sulaymaniyah city , Kurdistan is considered to be the greatest Kurdish Post Modernism novelist. he is also; poet and essayist.He has graduated from primary, secondary and high school in Sulaymaniyah.He started studies in Geology in the University of Sulaimani which was then Salahaddin University.In 1983 he participated in a rally,accumulations defing the rule of the baa'th party,he has been shot and injured.At the same year he left University due to social,political and personal interest reasons.He started his literary works from 1983.He is one of the editorial board members of "Rahand", an influential Kurdish Intellectual Magazine. During the Kurdish civil war in the mid 1990s he left Kurdistan to Germany and started living in Frankfurt till 1999.

Early life
He graduated from primary school at Shaikh Salam Primary School in Sulaymaniyah,and from Secondary school in Azmar secondary School,then he graduated High School at Halkawt High school,also in Sulaymaniyah.
Litterary career
In 1983 he wrote "Qesidey Nishtiman" what is the oldest produced work of him, after 9 years he published "Gunah u Kerneval". during 1980-1989 he statred to write long poems; like; "Shar", "Gunah", "kerneval", and the autograph of the Novel "Mergi Taqaney Duwem" was written during these years. in 1989 he wrote the first oration with name "Qisekirdin le perawezi bedengida" and published in daily newspaper of "Pashkoy Iraq". during the Kurdish Revolution in 1991 with coorporation of some other writers they printed and published the "Freedom Magazine" but only five numbers of the magazine was printed.
