Review

The fourth volume of K-Tel's Back to the '60s series is based on inferior re-recordings of hits that were released primarily during the first half of the decade. As with the other volumes in the series, it's a cheap way to obtain a lot of music, but you're going to get what you pay for. Some of the inclusions on this disc include Fontella Bass' "Rescue Me," Lou Christie's "Two Faces Have I," Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me," the Buckinghams' "Hey Baby (They're Playing Our Song)," Dee Clark's "Raindrops," Alvin Cash & the Crawlers' "Twine Time," and Jay & the Americans' "She Cried." Only one inclusion is an original version. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
