Biography

Champaign-Urbana indie band Bad Flannel was active during the latter half of the '80s, releasing two albums on Trashcan Records: Leper Shrapnel (1988) and Leslie...Dreamgirl for a Generation (1989). The band consisted of vocalist Bill Johnson, guitarists Jeff Dimpsey, and Balthazar de Ley, percussionist Skip Perkins (who would later be known as Sterling Feltcher in Bobby Conn's band), and drummer/bassist Gordon Pellegrinetti (later of Steakdaddy Six). It's core members went on to play in a number of other bands, including Honcho Overload, Hum, Menthol, and National Skyline. ~ Joslyn Layne, All Music Guide
