Greentrax fills Volume 4 of its Celtic Collection series with the sound of bagpipes. This compilation is unique as it doesn't focus primarily on the traditional pipe and drum bands that so many other samplers abuse. The inclusion of more plaintive tracks by pipers Hamish Moore and Gordon Duncan provide the listener with a diversity that is lacking within the rigid marches of similar collections. There are airs, strathspeys, and reels galore, making Bagpipes of Scotland a great buy and an excellent introduction to the wonderful music of Scotland. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
