Balboa Travel launches business expeditions. The company, one of the largest travel agencies in San Diego, focuses on corporate travel services. Most of the company's sales come from business travel management, but it also sets up corporate meetings and incentive programs and offers cruises, tours, and vacation packages. Balboa is a member of BCD Travel's affiliate program, which gives independent agencies a global network. Balboa was founded in 1969 and purchased in 1971 by Chairman Jose da Rosa and his sister, Vice Chairman Mary Alice Gonsalves.
