The Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL), also known as the Balkan League, is a multinational professional basketball league that features pro clubs from the Balkans. The league includes teams from the countries of Bulgaria, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia. Since 2011-12 Season teams from Israel also compete in the league, despite that they are not from the region.
The league features three teams from the Bulgarian League, two from the Macedonian League, two from the Romanian League, and three teams from the Serbian League.
In the first season of the BIBL, the teams will be divided into two groups of five. The top four teams in each group will qualify for the playoffs, where the winner of group A will face the fourth-placed team in group B, the second will play the third and so forth.
