Balkans-Caucasian race

A Balkans-Caucasian race has been postulated as a subrace of the greater Caucasian race.

Racial types

In the Balkans-Caucasian race allocate set of discrete variants different in details, in particular:

Alpine types - brachycephalic the type, is characterized by light pigmentation with other mountain groups and dark compared with flat populations pigmentation and moderate growth, extended in the Alpes.

Dinaric types - mesocephalic the type, differs very high growth, massive features, very wide person and a head, is extended on the Balkans, Transcaucasia, Anatolia.

Northcaucasian types - mesocephalic the type, is characterized by very wide person, massive features, concerning other mountain groups light eyes, very high growth, extended in the North Caucasus.

Armenoid types - mesocephalic the type, is characterized by high growth, massive features, light brown, brown or black hair, sturdy body build, extended in the Armenia, Anatolia, Georgia and South Europe.
