Review

Living up to the name of the album, these are literally famous pop songs performed by Baron in a Caribbean style. The keyboard-crafted rhythms and melodies bring to mind Kenny G. and Billy Ocean, two musicians who may be a scary comparison to many listeners. But because these songs are recognizable and quite good themselves, this turns out to be a harmless collection that would appeal to anyone who has wanted to hear these songs changed around. As a side note, Tom Jones fans may be interested to know that Jones has covered almost half of this album in his own career, although the comparisons end there. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
