Baloney is a fictional character featured in the Warner Bros. animated television series Animaniacs. He is a parody of Barney the Dinosaur and is one of many parodies from the show Animaniacs. His premiere episode is a parody of the infamous and popular-to-spoof show Barney & Friends, titled "Baloney & Kids" and he appeared in a few episodes throughout the series, including the Animaniacs direct-to-video film, Wakko's Wish. Much to the horror of Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, Baloney is utterly unstoppable and impossible to kill despite being smashed repeatedly by anvils ("It's unstoppable!" "Call in the National Guard!" "Or Tonya Harding's bodyguard!").[1] In the Star Wars parody episode "Star Warners", Baloney is seen briefly in the cantina, but in "Jabba's Palace" he is not seen. When guards are sent into what should be the rancor pit, we hear Baloney's voice saying, "Will you be my special friend?", followed by panicked screaming. Baloney was voiced by Jeff Bennett.[2] The parody itself exploits the illogical aspects of staying after school to play with the dinosaur and Barney's/Baloney's self-centered attitude.

Other appearances
Baloney has made other appearances in many Animaniacs-related subjects. Baloney has made a cameo appearance on an episode of Animaniacs spin-off, Pinky and the Brain, as well as on Pinky and the Brain's spinoff, Pinky, Elmyra, & the Brain, plus a brief cameo in the Tiny Toons Night Ghoulery special (in line for the autograph of the devil). Baloney also serves as an 'enemy' in the PC video game collection Animaniacs Game Pack, in the game "Baloney's Balloon Bop" game. This Breakout-style game features Dot and Wakko using a trampoline to bounce Yakko into a field of balloons overhead. Baloney meanwhile patrols the bottom of the screen. Unlike other games of this sort, a life is not lost by letting Yakko fall under the paddle (or, in this case, trampoline). The game is only lost if Baloney himself catches Yakko.
