balsalazide sodium
An aminosalicylate that is used for the treatment of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis; it is converted to mesalazine in the body. Balsalazide is available as capsules on prescription only.
Side effects:
include abdominal pain and vomiting; see also aminosalicylates.
