Bamoth Baal
Place where Balak king of Moab took Balaam (Num 22:41) and at his request built seven altars on each of which he offered a bullock and a ram (Num 23:1-2). Later the place was included by Moses in the domain of the tribe of Reuben together with "Heshbon and all its cities that are in the plain" (Josh 13:17). Its location is not clear, but it is probably southwest of Mount Nebo.
